Four days before I was to take him in to have the staples removed I noticed his abdomen looked very swollen so I called and asked if I could bring him in immediately. His staples needed to be removed on August 20th but I didnt want to drive all the way back to San Antonio if I didnt have to so I called After Hours Veterinary Services and they said they would remove his staples so I made the appointment. As soon as I my granddaughter was doing well on her own and I returned to San Antonio, I took my Shih Tzu to see his ophthalmologist. I feel so very lucky to have contacted them because of the wonderful treatment we got. Not only did they remove the staples from his bladder incision, the vet examined his eye and prescribed several different meds to use until we could get him back home to see his ophthalmologist.
